In Remembrance of Joshua Lee Moore
The following was taken from the obituary section of the Funeral Home website that I went to yesterday afternoon:
Joshua Lee Moore, 26, of Cartersville died Saturday, August 22, 2009. Born April 30, 1983 in Rome, he was the son of Becky Baker and Ricky “Rip” Moore. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alfred Moore and Toby Fortner; and his great-grandmother, Lois Leonard.
Joshua was employed as a maintenance tech at Applied Thermoplastic Resources. He enjoyed his truck, playing poker, and being outdoors. Joshua also enjoyed spending time with his family, his fiancé, and his friends.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Becky and Teddy Baker; his father and step-mother, Ricky and Angela Moore; his fiancé, Jill Dittmer and her parents, Mark and Robyn Dittmer; and her brother, John Dittmer; his step-brothers, Bobby Brock and Wayne Baker; his grandparents, Jodell Moore, Barbara Pope, June Fortner, Jo Baker, and Fred Baker; his great-grandmother, Loraine Baker Elrod; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins ( including me).
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Moore, Rev. Rodney Martin, and Mr. Kenny Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Moore, Chris Thurman, Nick Moore, Patrick Chapman, Joshua Dereck Simpson, Virgil Grant, Joe Rogers, and John Dittmer. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
